Introducing the Nidecker Supermatic: the snowboard's long-awaited first universal double-entry automatic binding. Many brands have tried and failed. Most of these systems required specific boots; many didn't work well in powder; and none were as comfortable and reliable as a traditional two-strap binding. We spent four years developing our own solution that addresses all these issues, and it's a game-changer.
The Supermatic uses our patented Drop-In Tech. Simply slide your foot in from the back and press down on the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That's it – you're ready to ride. A simple release lever makes exit just as quick. The straps have the same comfortable AuxTech design as our high-end traditional bindings. Adjust them once, then lock them in with the aluminum locking buckles for a perfect fit every time. The beauty of this system is that it works with any boots from any manufacturer, and there's no complicated mechanism that can get stuck. If the slope or snow conditions require it, you can even strap them on like a regular binding. We built the Supermatic using proven materials found throughout our range. The brand new baseplate is made from fiberglass-infused nylon, with a Slip-N-Grip plate that helps your toes slide onto the pad for easy entry. Similarly, we've added a roller at the heel to make boot entry even easier. Finally, the Asym Hadron nylon spoiler is designed for a perfect fit, with responsive flex and an integrated forward lean adjuster for complete customization.
Overall, this is a mid-stiff binding that the Nidecker team has called the most comfortable yet. We tested it everywhere – on groomed runs, steep deep freeride lines, and in the park – with input from riders of all types. Conclusion: this is a fast-entry system you can trust. Whether you're tired of getting a wet butt from your straps or you want to beat your skiing friends off the lift, the future has arrived.
